We give thanks to you because of your grace during this COVID pandemic.
You keep our brothers and sisters in Heidelberg safe and in good health. You also give us peace and joy in our hearts so that we can face this pandemic without fear. We look and wait upon you. We pray that you continue to work in our lives.
We pray for our gospel ministry in Heidelberg. Many people choose to stay home because of the pandemic so we have no chance to meet up with them in person.
We don’t know how many Chinese students will come to Heidelberg for the new semester this November or how many Chinese students will contact us.
We can only look upon you and pray that you will open doors for us.
Recently in our church we have some newborn babies and a sister who is still pregnant.
Last week we also found out that my wife Ming Gao is pregnant too. Dear Lord, we give thanks to You. You bless us with all these new lives, but at the same time you know what new challenges are before us.
Our church is small and does not have enough co-workers. Dear Lord, please help and give us strength. Dear Lord, we also give thanks to you for our brothers and sisters who actively and eagerly join the online Bible study. Through this Bible study, we are bonding in Jesus Christ, learning your Word, and sharing and praying together.
Lord, we also pray for the students who are disciple-training with us. May the Lord prepare these young people so that they will be rooted and will grow in your Word.
May the Lord prepare them so that they will have the heart to seek you and to let the Holy Spirit guide them.
May the Lord empower us and strengthen us. We pray all this in Jesus’ name. Amen!
