December 1 is World AIDS Day. This year, the United Nations (UN) is commemorating 30 years since the AIDS response began. Although significant progress has been made in the last three decades, there are still challenges to overcome. Information from the UN says there are 37 million people living with HIV around the world – the highest number ever – yet a quarter of them don’t know they have the virus. Please pray for the well-being of those living with HIV, especially in impoverished regions of the world. Pray that access to testing, treatment and quality care would be readily available to communities in need. Please also pray for the success of awareness campaigns, which encourages safe practices and highlights prevention services. Please also pray for CBM’s Kamp Tumaini program, which offers hope to children impacted by HIV and AIDS. Due to the success of this camp experience in Kenya, CBM is now expanding the program to other countries. Please pray that children would continue to be touched by the love of Jesus through this growing initiative.
