On July 15 we recognize World Youth Skills Day. According to the United Nations, “there are 1.2 billion young people aged 15 to 24 years, accounting for 16 per cent of the global population.” The youth play a huge role in creating and maintaining stable societies and sustainable development, but they’re also thrice more likely to be unemployed compared to adults. They’re more vulnerable to lower quality and insecure jobs, and to inequality in the marketplace. This is why it is important for youth to have access to additional skills training and vocational education. CBM works with many marginalized youths globally. One project area is India, where CBM and its partners help youth through tutoring and additional skills training. Pray for youths all over the world, that they may have opportunities that will lead to better futures. Pray for a burden for the youth to grow in the hearts of many.
