Zheng Zhu Student Center
The Zheng Zhu student center is in the border town of Tachileik, between Thailand and Myanmar. Since 2020, schools in Myanmar have been closed due to the pandemic. At the student center, the pastors and staff continue to educate the children there. Support this project with financial contributions and prayer.
The Situation
Student centers are an important ministry in the Golden Triangle region. Children from poor families in the mountainous regions must live in the city to go to school. These children receive the opportunity for better education, health care, and social interaction through this project. They also gradually learn essential life skills through their interactions with other children and adults. Students are shown the love of God through the care and teaching of full-time staff and volunteers. Pandemic school closures spurred the need to adapt.
With growing unrest in Myanmar and the pressures of the pandemic, safety and limited resources were of concern. The team learned to grow vegetables to reduce costs and travel to reduce the cost of living. Students could also learn new skills while growing fresh and organic vegetables to aid in nutrition for their growth.

How We Are Helping
Financial support for students
Children from mountainous regions receive education through scholarships to cover room and board, and learning materials.
Providing pre-discipleship training
Students participate in church, learn about the gospel, and have a chance to continue their studies at TBTI in the future.
Skills training and guidance
Students grow in knowledge and learn a second language, develop their talents and build up self-esteem, and have access to spiritual guidance.
The Impact of Our Work
Thirteen-year-old Zhao Hui and his elder brother live in eastern Myanmar, where most villagers farm for a living. Needing to leave a difficult family situation, they moved in with their grandmother. Due to her age, she was increasingly unable to continue farming, which meant the family had no income, and Zhao Hui and his brother could not attend school. Through the project, they received scholarships to live and study at the Zheng Zhu student center, which also led to better living conditions.
