Hi everyone, I greet you in the blessed name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I am Imkummeren Jamir, Canadian Baptist Ministries’ Northeast India program coordinator.

Seeing how God has empowered and changed people’s lives is undoubtedly a blessing. Through our CBM programs and initiatives, we have seen individuals find hope, experience healing, and discover their God-given potential. From providing skill development and healthcare to supporting sustainable livelihoods, our work is committed to making a lasting impact in the communities we serve. We can only witness this growth because of your support and prayers.

30 widows in Alempang, Sungkomen, and Yimyu are advancing economically and spiritually through the widow’s empowerment program. Youth participating in sports ministry from Chuchuyimlang Baptist Church, the Baptist Church of Mizoram, and the Mising tribe in Assam are developing new skills and receiving nutritious food. With Clark Theological College, CBM supports student scholarships and has begun focusing on programs with the theme of creation care. We are also equally excited to walk alongside new partners in Northeast India in 2024, such as Miqlat Ministry, Samaritan Home, and Tzürangkong Baptist Church Association.

Please continue to pray for our ministry as we share the love and teachings of Jesus Christ in our neighbourhoods and communities. Together, we can invite more people in need to find faith, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives. Many thanks!

• We praise God for the progress our Indian partners are making with their projects. People are being equipped with skills and knowledge and are being empowered to make positive changes in their lives and in their communities.
• There is unrest in the Northeastern part of India, where there are issues of militancy, corruption, and communal tension. Pray that peace, justice, and progress will prevail in this part of the land.
• Pray for our partner churches and ministries working in Northeast India. Pray that the programs we are implementing will continue to benefit the churches and the surrounding community. Pray that our new partnerships will begin smoothly.
• Our team is dedicated to positively impacting and fostering sustainable development in India. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated as we work towards empowering the local leadership and creating a brighter future for their communities.
