OVERVIEW
Located in Northeast Africa, South Sudan is the world’s newest nation. South Sudan was affected by a severe famine in 2017 which caused many to flee to neighboring Sudan in search of food. Due to recent civil conflict and ethnic diversity, the Sudanese are immersed in insecurity, poverty, and division.
OUR PROJECTS IN SOUTH SUDAN
Help develop effective church leadership
Selected people who are passionate about sustaining projects and programs proposed by Faith Evangelical Baptist Church (FEBAC) are provided with training to realize their full potential.
Assist South Sudan in establishing its theological training
Zimmerman Bible College is working on developing technology and growing their own crops in order to provide for students in South Sudan wanting (advanced*) theological and ministry training.
Kakuma Camp Peacebuilding*
A training workshop will promote of peaceful coexistence, trauma healing, and reconciliation among the different ethnic groups in the Refugee Camp.
Livestock for Widows*
The Livestock for Widows project aims to support vulnerable widows in Wun Mijok and Gelkou in Sobat County in Upper Nile State to improve their incomes and household assets.
