Women’s Literacy

Earlier this week, CBM staff welcomed Laetitia Dusabimana to our Mississauga office for a short visit. Please join us in praying for Laetitia, who is the head of the women’s department for the Association of Baptist Churches of Rwanda, our partner in the region. She implements women empowerment programs and gives leadership to CBM’s Women’s Literacy project in Rwanda. Through the project, impoverished women learn how to read, write and count. This provides them with a sense of dignity and helps them to better care for their children. It also gives women the knowledge they need to participate in savings groups and pursue small business initiatives. Please pray that the women who participate in these programs would be encouraged to continue their studies and that they would see the difference it makes in their lives. May they be refreshed by the love and support of our staff and church partners.
