Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Digital Media Specialist who is passionate about using their skills to contribute to positive global change. This role supports day‑to‑day digital communications, including social media content creation, design, website updates, and email marketing. Time management, graphic design skills, and strong communication skills are essential.
This role reports to the Team Lead, Communications.
Job Details:
- Location: CBM’s office in Mississauga, ON
- Work Type: Hybrid with 50% in-office time, Tuesday, Wednesday and alternating Thursday
- Position Type: Full-time Permanent
- Salary Band: T2 $52,000-$58,000
- Benefits: Enrolment in CBM’s benefits program, including health, dental, and wellness benefits, and enrollment in our pension plan (after 3-month probation period) with a 6% match on contributions, starting 3 weeks’ Vacation/year, Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Status: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; CBM is not in the position to support a work permit process for any applicant outside of Canada
Key Responsibilities
SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATION & MANAGEMENT, 40% TIME
- Create, design, draft, schedule, and publish social media content across CBM, Vennture, and SENT channels.
- Produce engaging graphics, reels, videos, and digital assets.
- Monitor engagement and contribute creative ideas for content improvement.
WEBSITE CONTENT & GRAPHIC LAYOUT, 25% TIME
- Maintain CBM’s website, ensuring content accuracy and timely updates.
- Draft and/or edit copy for blogs, ministry updates, campaign pages, and Prayerline submissions.
- Build web pages for appeals and initiatives.
- Collaborate with CBM’s web developer on structural or technical updates.
EMAIL MARKETING, 25% TIME
- Design, draft, edit, and schedule email campaigns including newsletters and fundraising appeals.
- Create layouts and visuals that support brand consistency.
- Work with Operations staff to maintain and segment email lists.
ADMINISTRATION & ANALYTICS, 5%
- Track, analyze, and report monthly digital analytics.
- Maintain content archives and media organization.
ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH & FORMATION, 5% TIME
- Participate in weekly CBM Chapel and contribute to spiritual and relational health of the organization.
- Support team culture through collaboration and shared mission involvement.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Alignment with CBM’s Christian mission, Core Values, and organizational policies.
- Post‑secondary education in Digital Marketing, Communications, or related fields OR 1–2 years’ experience.
- Graphic design skills; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
- Experience with email marketing tools and CRM systems.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience with WordPress, SEO basics, and analytics tools.
- Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Strong initiative, problem‑solving, and independent work capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset and relational communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Teams and digital collaboration tools.
