Dear Lord,

We thank you for your eternal faithfulness to us. It is you who created us, who drew us to yourself in your love, who is our eternal hope. You say in 1 Samuel 2:30 that you honour those who honour you. We want to honour you with our prayers, our ministry in various places, and our whole lives. You are the one to whom honour is due.

We ask your blessing on the welcome project for Chinese students that will take place in October and November. Despite all adversities, we pray that we will be able to build many contacts with new students. Allow them to have an interest and desire to join our groups through our invitations. Let questions about the meaning and origin of life arise in them and cause an interest in faith in you. We pray for helpful conversations to arise so that we will have the opportunity to tell them about the hope that is within us.

Lord, we also pray for the whole CBM team that is working among Chinese people in Germany. We seek your guidance as we endeavour to do your work. Show us in the coming days your direction for your ministry in the future and how we should align ourselves. Call more “labourers into the harvest” to Germany.

Thank you for providing my husband and me with a new apartment and blessing our move-in. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our apartment as a place of encounter, where we can have different young people as our guests every week. Please guide all our conversations, the German reading group, counselling meetings and discipleship efforts so that you are glorified in it all.

We thank you for having only good plans for us.

To you be the glory forever and ever.
