My name is Byron Velasquez, I am a field staff serving in Central America. For me, it’s a privilege to be part of CBM, serving our partners in many ways. I have been serving with CBM for two years, and it has been a wonderful time where I have seen how God is working in our communities. This last month we have been working and helping our partners with their 2024 project plans and proposals. Our goal is always to build up the capacity of our partners, and so we hosted a training on how to make proposals with Patty Nacho, our Program Officer for Latin America. The last month we have also been working and serving with SENT churches from Canada: Journey Church and Hillside Church. It has been a blessing to gather and learn with one another.  We have also been working with local churches that are receiving training in creation care projects. Many churches in Guatemala and El Salvador are very interested in growing their knowledge on this topic and becoming leaders in their communities.

• Pray for my family; we recently celebrated the marriage of our only daughter.
• Pray for my dad as he is dealing with a heart problem.
• Pray for the pastoring of pastors groups in Central America. Pray that the pastors will continue to be encouraged and blessed as they learn and grow together.
• Pray for RiverCross Church, as they will serve with us in the coming weeks. Pray for safe travels and for blessings as we fellowship and learn together.
• Pray for the churches that are receiving training in creation care. May they be inspired to heal their broken relationships with creation and help inspire their communities with projects that will bring about lasting change.
• Pray for meetings with our partners in December as we work alongside them as they plan for the future.
