About Byron Velásquez

Byron serves alongside the Latin America team, supporting CBM’s overall success in the areas of Integral Mission and Global Discipleship by facilitating venues for instruction & dialogue, and by organizing and facilitating SENT trips in Guatemala & El Salvador, to reinforce partnership agreements and local ministry strategies. Additionally, Byron helps nurture strong relationships with CBM partners to ascertain partner priorities, seek partner capacity development opportunities, and accompany partner staff in developing project proposals and assisting with effective program management.

For the last 15 years Byron has been training pastors and churches in Guatemala to have a better understanding of the gospel of Jesus. Since 2017, Byron has been a church and community coach for ENLACE, responsible for training pastors, church leaders and members so that the gospel of Jesus impacts and transforms communities. Byron is a graduate of Central Florida Community College and Seminario Teologico Centro America (SETECA) and has also studied industrial engineering. He is currently completing a Doctor of Ministry (Theology in Culture).

Byron and his wife, Irma Yolanda, have 3 children, Pablo, Raquel, and Diego David, all living in San Miguel Petapa, Guatemala.
