Hello and warm greetings from Bolivia, even though it’s winter on this side of the continent!

I am Patty Nacho, and I serve in Bolivia as a Program Officer for Latin America.

As we continue into the second half of this year, there are some prayer requests I would like to ask you to pray for:

• Please pray Casa Amistad. The government has cut funding for organizations to receive food scholarships. Pray that the Casa can find other sources of funding and continue to provide nutritious food for students.
• Please pray for each person involved with our projects in Latin America. Pray for their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being and their entire family.
• Please pray for our partners in Latin America as they begin to make plans for 2024. May God continue using their lives to bring hope to the communities they
• Pray for me, as the Program Officer for Latin America, as a busy period begins. May God help me serve with integrity and love as I work with our partners.

Please pray:

• As of this year, the Bolivian government has cut 100% of their funding for food scholarships. This represents a significant challenge for Casa Amistad, as they have relied on this funding to provide food for the children they serve. With God’s help, they are providing food with local donations and feeding the 130 children who attend the Casa. Pray that the Casa can continue to provide nutritious food.
• The staff of all the projects are, without a doubt, passionate and dedicated people to the service of the most vulnerable. May God give them good health and much strength to deal with the challenges they face.
• Our partners are in the process of starting the projections for 2024. Pray that God, through his Holy Spirit, may guide them so that they continue to share the hope of Jesus with their communities and make lasting and sustainable change.
• It has already been a year since I started in this new role in CBM, so please pray that God will give me the wisdom and intelligence to take on every responsibility and challenge in this second half of the year. May God help me to have the perspective of Jesus Christ in every situation. Also, please pray for my health so that I can have a balance between all activities.
