Pray with the Lams

Dear Friends of Canadian Baptist Ministries, We extend warm greetings to all of you today. My name is Lewis, and Felain. We have been on a mission in Germany, reaching out to the Chinese diaspora community. I want to express our gratitude for your faithful support over the past 10 years. After 3 years of the pandemic, we recently had the privilege of resuming our annual joint Spring Living Camp. Remarkably, 100 people joined us, and with God’s grace, it was a resounding success. The fellowship was so cherished by our believers that they found the time together to be too brief. Just as they were making meaningful connections, it was time to bid farewell. We are already hard at work preparing for next year’s Spring Camp, trusting in God to provide the venue, a short-term mission team, and a speaker for us.

We returned to Toronto in mid-September for a 2.5-month home assignment. It has been more than 4 years since our last visit to Canada for such an assignment. During this time, we pray that God will work through his servants to share the stories of his grace, his wondrous works, and the countless lives transformed by his love, all to bring glory to his name. Meanwhile, Pastor Jonathan Lee and his wife have ventured from Hong Kong to support the Göttingen church while we are in Canada. We ask for your prayers for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Lastly, we would like to draw your attention to a series of New Students Orientation activities scheduled for October. We have planned 4 sessions covering various topics, including “Learning from Senior Years Students,” “Getting to Know Göttingen,” “Legal Knowledge for Daily Living,” and “Sharing Life Stories”. Our hope is that God will lead new students to participate in these events and open their hearts to Christianity. Once again, we appreciate your continued prayers and support. Your commitment empowers us to carry out our mission. Thank you for standing with us in this journey of faith.

Prayer Points:

Please pray:

  • Please join us in prayer for the preparations leading up to next year’s Spring Living Camp. We humbly ask God to provide the ideal venue, assemble a dedicated short-term mission team, and inspire a powerful speaker for this significant event.
  • During our home assignment in Canada, which spans from mid-September to November, we request your prayers for our ministry and personal well-being. Additionally, please remember in your prayers our substitute pastors, Pastor Jonathan and Mrs. Lee, who are faithfully caring for our ministry in Germany while we are away.
  • As we approach the New Students Orientation Activities in October, we seek God’s protection over the outreach efforts organized by Christian fellowships in various cities across Germany. We pray that believers will be filled with a strong desire and courage to share the Gospel, and that the church may be a source of blessing to Chinese students. These activities are scheduled for October 8th, 13th, 15th, and 29th. Thank you for your heartfelt prayers and support as we continue our mission. Your prayers make a profound impact on the work we do, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in spreading the message of God’s love.
