Close to 230 thousand Rwandans are living with HIV and AIDs.
Approximately 41 percent of the population is 0-14 years old.
Rwanda is a nation working to heal from a traumatic past of genocide. Currently the most densely populated country in mainland Africa, close to half of the population is under the age of 14 years. Despite remarkable progress towards good governance and helping the poor, poverty remains one of the main issues affecting nearly half of the population.
Since the beginning of 2021, like so many other affected by this global pandemic, we have lived through long periods of limited movement and even three weeks of full lockdown. But we are happy to finally be able to say - or even sing! - On the Road Again!!

Canadian Baptists participated with a very different social group known as Children of Hope. Initially, we used the term “orphans and vulnerable children (OVC)” in Rwanda to identify them.
Earlier this week, CBM staff welcomed Laetitia Dusabimana to our Mississauga office for a short visit. Please join us in praying for Laetitia, who is the head of the women’s department for the Association of Baptist Churches of Rwanda, our partner in the region. She implements women empowerment programs and gives
