Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brenda Halk as the Senior Associate for Strategic Projects, effective January 25, 2016. Brenda has been serving as a part-time Strategic Associate with CBM for the past two years as the Women’s Initiatives Facilitator. In her new role, she will continue to oversee gender-based initiatives, as well as the Good for Business corporate program, Marketplace Ministry-related programs and oversee other strategic activities, reporting directly to the Executive Director. She will be based out of CBM’s Mississauga office.
Brenda has extensive experience as an educator and entrepreneur. She has also served as a leader in various volunteer ministry capacities, including as the President of CBM’s Board of Directors from 2009 to 2012. She previously served as President of Canadian Baptist Women, Canadian Baptist Women of Ontario and Quebec and as an Executive Member of North American Baptist Women.
