CBM APPOINTS TWO NEW NATIONAL FIELD STAFF
Mississauga, Ontario – Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of two National Field Staff, effective January 1, 2019: Joe Bridi in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region; and Pradeep Babu Gara in India. These new appointments are in response to the growing ministry opportunities represented in these regions.
Based in Beirut, Lebanon, Joe will work with CBM’s local partners to develop strategies for ministry and provide support to graduates of Arab Baptist Theological Seminary who are launching ministries in the MENA region. He will also monitor and evaluate existing projects, as well as provide implementation and reporting support for specific initiatives. Born and raised in Lebanon, Joe lives in Beirut with his wife and two children.
Pradeep will work alongside CBM’s church partners in India, particularly with budgeting and reporting. Through this role, he will monitor and evaluate ongoing project activities. Based in Hyderabad, he will also collaborate with senior National Field Staff in the region. Pradeep has held various financial roles in both the non-profit and government sectors. He also brings to this position a strong history of humanitarian work within India.
Says John Chan, CBM’s Director of International Partnerships, “CBM’s mission has always been to partner with local churches in order to embrace a broken world through word and deed. Therefore, it is always exciting to see young local Christians being equipped for ministry. The appointment of Joe Bridi and Pradeep Babu Gara to our expanding ministries is a testament of the incredible growth and maturation of the Christian communities in these regions, as well as CBM’s commitment to continue working alongside local Christians and churches.”
