Mississauga, Ontario – Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Polisi Kivava Baudouin to the position of Relief and Development Specialist for Africa, based in the Democratic Republic of Congo effective September 16, 2019.
Polisi’s role as Relief and Development Specialist is to contribute to CBM’s overall success in the areas of Integral Mission through relief and community development and programming alongside CBM partners in the region. Polisi will provide oversight and support for the joint CBM and Africa church partners’ relief and community development projects including the CBM and The Foodgrains Bank food security projects. He will also support the CBM team and partners in hosting Canadians.
Polisi comes with experience working with Canadian Baptist programs as he was managing CBM-funded projects in partnership with the Baptist Church in Central Africa (CBCA) as Director of the Department of Diaconia and Development. Prior to that, he worked as program officer and Africa Executive Secretary of the United Evangelical Mission, a CBCA partner. He holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from the Africa International University, a Masters in Education and a Diploma in Science.
Says Africa Team Leader André Sibomana, “We are glad to have Polisi join our Africa team. Polisi brings a rich experience to this new role, as he has worked with different organizations in the region. He is culturally sensitive and has a huge passion for the small holder farmers in the region. It is our hope that God will use him for the kingdom.”
