CBM is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Summer Student to support its Youth Engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young people, leading creative programs, and inspiring others to engage in mission and outreach.
Job Details:
- Location: Atlantic Canada, preferably Moncton, NB
- Work Type: Remote, must have own computer
- Position Type: Full-time, 8-week contract
- Start Date: May 11, 2026
- Pay: $18.60 per hour (35 hours per week)
- Status: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; CBM is not in the position to support a work permit process for any applicant outside of Canada
Key Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to)
CAMP CURRICULUM LEADERSHIP
- Develop, refine, and lead activities based on CBM’s camping curriculum for youth
- Facilitate engaging and interactive sessions that align with CBM’s values and objectives
- Provide support for camp leaders to ensure smooth implementation
- Attend training event in Moncton, NB
YOUTH EVENTS PARTICIPATION
- Attend and actively contribute to youth events organized by CBM or partner organizations
- Build relationships with youth participants and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Attend OneCon in Moncton, NB
ACTIVE IN MISSION FUNDRAISING PROMOTION
- Create awareness and enthusiasm among youth groups for the Active in Mission fundraising campaign
- Assist in planning and executive promotional activities, both online and in-person
- Provide resources and support to youth and leaders participating in the fundraising campaign
ADMINISTRATIVE AND COMMUNICATION SUPPORT
- Assist in creating promotional materials including social media content and newsletters
- Maintain organizes records of participation and feedback from events and initiatives
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- A strong commitment to the mission and values of CBM
- Experience or interest in youth engagement, leadership, or education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing interactive programs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and online promotional tools
- Availability to work evenings or weekends as needed for events
- Previous experience in camp leadership or youth ministry
- Familiarity with fundraising or community outreach initiatives
- Enrollment in, or recent completion of, a program in theology, education, social work, or a related field
