An invitation to extend the table in a hungry world.
2026
Across communities facing conflict, climate uncertainty, and economic instability, access to food can change overnight. For families living with little margin, hunger is never far away.
CBM responds alongside local churches and partners to meet urgent food needs while strengthening long-term food security. This work is patient, practical, and rooted in shared faithfulness. It continues well beyond this season.
Last week, during a visit to Embu, Kenya, Canadian Baptist Ministries Creative Strategist Gordon Brew shared firsthand about the impact of our current Matching Grant Appeal. Through experiencing an active agricultural project, Gordon offers a glimpse of how this work is already bearing fruit in communities around the world.
As hunger continues to affect vulnerable communities worldwide, we are reminded that our call is both compassionate and faithful. Through this Matching Grant Appeal, we have an opportunity to extend the table, to respond to urgent needs while investing in sustainable solutions that reflect the heart of Christ.
We invite you to prayerfully consider giving today. Together, through shared generosity and trust in God’s provision, we can participate in God’s work of bringing nourishment, resilience, and hope to a hungry world.
Thank you for walking with CBM.
In the event a particular project or program is oversubscribed or where local conditions prevent implementation, CBM will redirect your donation to what’s most needed. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $10 or more. Annual tax receipt sent at year-end. Charitable Registration Number: 10684 3436 RR001

In regions where rainfall is unpredictable and markets are fragile, families live close to hunger. Through church-led food security projects, farmers receive seeds, tools, and training to grow food for their households and neighbours. Gardens are producing staple crops, meals are more consistent, and communities are strengthening cooperation and shared responsibility through the steady presence of the church.

When work is irregular, even small disruptions can push families into crisis. Through CBM’s food security projects, local churches support families with practical livelihood opportunities such as poultry farming and small food businesses. These efforts help households generate income, plan ahead, keep children in school, and move from constant uncertainty toward stability.

Years of conflict and displacement have left many families living with ongoing uncertainty. Through long-standing local partners, churches provide regular food support to households facing loss, disability, and limited work options. Access to food brings stability, helping families endure with dignity and remain connected to education and community.
