CBM Appoints Rabih Wazir as Integral Mission Coordinator, MENA Region

Mississauga, Ontario – Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rabih Wazir as Integral Mission Coordinator in the MENA (Middle East North Africa) Region, effective July 1, 2024.

As Integral Mission Coordinator, Rabih will support and work with our partners in the areas of discipleship, spiritual formation, pastoral care, training, and program management. He will report to MENA Team Leaders, Elie and Mireille Haddad, but will work closely and in coordination with other MENA region Field Staff. His key responsibilities will include nurturing partner relationships, assisting with capacity building, and walking alongside partners as they develop project proposals and manage programs.

Rabih has extensive experience working with ministry partners in his role as General Secretary for the Convention of the Evangelical Baptist Churches in Lebanon, where he also interacts with the European Baptist Federation and Baptist World Alliance. Through his work with The Living Word Society and ministry with his local church, he also has experience in preaching, teaching, and church planting.

Elie and Mireille Haddad, MENA Team Leaders, share, “We are delighted with the appointment of Rabih as new National Field Staff serving in Lebanon and the MENA region. With his experience, gifts, and strong relationships with local churches in the region, we are looking forward to seeing how God will use Rabih to strengthen CBM’s partnerships and further Canadian Baptists’ engagement in God’s mission in the MENA region.”

Rabih attended the Beirut Baptist School in Lebanon as a child and completed his Bachelor of Theology at ABTS (Arab Baptist Theological Seminary). He has also attended numerous education and leadership seminars around the globe.
