Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean and one of the world’s few remaining communist states. Economic challenges have led to a black-market economy with widespread crime, drugs, and prostitution, affecting local churches and communities as well.

Sustainable development
Empowering communities (Instructing local churches) to live out the gospel in word and deed, providing spiritual care as concerns about finances, isolation, and health are on the rise.
Discipleship training
Providing informal workshops and theological retreats throughout the year.
Empowering church leaders
Supporting training and theological education, including sponsoring pastors to study theology at the seminary in Matanzas.

Fraternidad de Iglesias Bautistas de Cuba (FIBAC) is CBM’s local church partner, which includes around 43 Baptist churches across the island. By providing access to theological training and education, training future leaders is one of the most effective ways to impact communities and build the global church.
