Since 2019, Ella has been serving in a restricted area in East Asia, currently training and equipping Christians in Asia to become missionaries. She also leads missional initiatives such as Faith + Work ministry training and has developed courses for first-generation Christian leaders in rural churches to help them understand the Bible. Ella helps develop practical ministries for newly-founded churches, as well as camp activities for children and youth. 

As a first-generation Christian from a Chinese Buddhist family, Ella came to Christ as a university student and was called to serve in East Asia in her last year of undergraduate school. After working in a Christian organisation for several years, she received a calling towards training ministry and continued her studies to get a Master of Divinity. Ella's goal is to help church leaders build holistic ministries through appropriate training, as churches in her region grow more involved in mission despite facing heavy restrictions and persecution.
