O Lord, our Sovereign God, how majestic is your name in all the earth. Your name affirms mercy, love, joy, peace and justice.

Dear God, we cry unto you to have mercy upon us during this second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic that is causing a crisis in India.  We are seeing around 30 million positive COVID cases, shortage of vaccines, black fungus, and mutated COVID variants – Delta and Delta Plus spreading rapidly. We pray for healing and protection and for the virus to be contained.

Oh Lord, we pray that you would comfort and uplift the many migrant workers, daily wage workers, the homeless and the unemployed, who are struggling in the margins.

Among our Indian partners, around 25 ministry personnel have died due to COVID-19. Although many have been healed there are still many who are undergoing treatment. Most of the affected families are now in deep financial crisis. In their growing despair and uncertainty, we pray that you would release them from their debts with the assurance that you are always with them.

We pray for necessary wisdom and knowledge as we walk along with many local Indian churches. We pray that the Circular Road Baptist Church in Kolkata would overcome COVID difficulties and initiate the project for the girls who were rescued from trafficking so that they would come to healing, rehabilitation and transformation.

We pray that the unemployed youth of Ao Naga, Mising Tribe, Oriya, Soura and Telugu Baptists would see opportunities opening up so that they can make a living.

Dear Lord we pray that you would provide means for the poor Soura widows and Mising weaving women as they struggle to make ends meet through their small businesses during this pandemic period.

We pray oh Lord for us to be humble and understand that your thoughts and ways are always higher. Give us the strength, that through the local churches we could continue to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ and bring hope in their brokenness.

We remember all those who are concerned and pray for us in India, the many donors and friends.  Heavenly Father we pray that you would continue to bless their hearts and families.

We pray for Canadian Baptist Churches in Canada, CBM board and staff, partners and projects in different countries – that you would continue to bless us and help us to discern the moving of the Holy Spirit in our midst and minister together accordingly.

All these we pray in the name of our Lord and Savour Jesus Christ.  Amen.
