I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name.

You are a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
 Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Thank you Lord for watching over those who are part of our vulnerable children’s projects, Casa de la Amistad, Jireh, and the many church-cased projects that care for children. Even though these have been difficult times, you have sustained these ministries to provide needy families with food, medical care, school supplies, and help with their education. Please provide wisdom to the staff, showing them how to best serve these families with the resources and love you’ve provided. Draw close to these families as they come to know you, your unwavering faithfulness, and your great love for them.

Please continue to be with the rural communities that CBM serves. Protect them from Chagas disease and allow the agricultural initiatives to thrive. These communities have felt their isolation more deeply during this pandemic. Be with these families as they learn how to care for their new beehives and may the income from their honey be a blessing.

Lord, thank you for all of those in Canada, who despite the instability that this last year has brought, continue to support CBM and its mission. Let them be encouraged with the assurance that their prayers for us have been heard and that we see your hand at work in our ministries daily.

Remind us Lord, of your great love for us. As we face trials and obstacles, help us to remember who you are and take comfort in your faithfulness.

As we face uncertain days, we can have strength and confidence because we know that you are our God. In the words of the psalmist, we pray:

Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds for humanity!
He turned the sea into dry land,
they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
 He rules forever by his power,
his eyes watch the nations—Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
