Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya. I am Laura Muema, program and SENT coordinator for the Africa area. I work with our Partners in Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Kenya in the areas of gender, women, children, and youth. I also work with my colleagues in Canada and Rwanda in planning and coordinating SENT team visits. This year, I am grateful to have worked with our partners in their designed projects in the areas of creation care, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Vennture.

I thank God for allowing SENT teams to visit Projects and to be a part of learning here in Africa. I am especially grateful to my Africa Team Leader, my wonderful Africa Team colleagues, my CBM family at large and Churches in Canada – For always praying, encouraging and uplifting me as I serve in my role. As we near the end of 2023, I thank God for His grace and the strength He has given me in Family, work and especially in my relationship with Him.

Please let us pray for peace in Congo, for the displaced families, and for the hurting and traumatized women and Children. Also, pray for peaceful general elections in the country of DR Congo this December. Let us pray for our partners as they work with families in war-torn areas. Let’s pray for God’s help and intervention in bringing Peace and reconciliation to their country and for the capacity and grace for our partners to contribute to that. Pray that with our partners, we will continue to do the work God has called us to do, to network and interact with each other and support one another in areas of need. Thank You, and God bless.

Please pray:

• Pray for the displaced and post-violence victims in the Congo; pray for peace to prevail in their country.
• Pray for peace in all countries around the world experiencing unrest, violence, and war.
• Pray for global economic stability, as the cost of living is high and underdeveloped countries suffer the most.
• Pray for SENT teams as they visit Africa and other countries worldwide. Pray that God may provide the needed resources, protection, and guidance in their missions.
• Pray for peace, light, and close relationships with God within our families and churches.

As we move into 2024, we wanted to make you aware of changes to Prayerline. Beginning in January, Prayerline will be published once per month, distributed by email in our monthly Word & Deed e-newsletter, and posted to our website. It will be formatted with prayer prompts for each week of the month with prayer requests from around the world. The e-newsletter will include a snapshot of the full list and link to the full list on the website, which will be printable. As subscribers to our Prayerline email list, your email will be included on the monthly e-newsletter email list going forward with the option to unsubscribe at any time.
