Week ofJuly13
Europe
- We are thankful for a blessed and joyful three-church camp during Pentecost. The Chinese churches from Kassel, Göttingen, and Marburg joined at a youth hostel to learn more about God, worship Him together, and cultivate relationships. The children and youth also had a good time. We were especially grateful that four teenage boys among the youth told us that they want to be baptized as soon as they are old enough. They are still struggling with praying and Bible reading. Pray that they will recognize the value of talking to God and learning from Him through His Word regularly in their daily lives.
- Because of the primary and secondary school holidays in July, some brothers and sisters will be on vacation or returning to China to visit family. Please pray that the Lord will keep everyone safe during their travels and lead them to continue to attend local church services. The Ye family will also be away on vacation for two weeks. Pray that they might have a quiet time to rest and refresh themselves.
North America
- Many wildfires are happening across Canada, affecting many people, most notably the elderly and young children. May God be with the people who are battling these fires and help keep all safe. Pray that we will get the much-needed rain that will help extinguish the fires. Pray for the churches that are also affected. Help them to know how to respond. Pray for comfort and safety for those who have had to evacuate from their homes and leave everything behind.

Lift up the pastors, elders, and leaders who are faithfully serving their communities, guiding them through both challenges and triumphs. Pray for wisdom, strength, and discernment as they navigate the needs of their congregations and the broader community, especially during times of hardship or uncertainty.
Asia
- Pray for farmers in the Philippines as they prepare for the planting season. May they have favourable weather conditions for rice and other crops to grow.
- Pray for our partner in India, the Arunachal Baptist Church Council (ABCC). Many people lost their lives or property due to landslides and recent heavy rain. Pray for their families and for financial assistance to rebuild their houses and clear roads. Pray for financial support to construct the ABCC Mission Centre at Naharlagun, which they hope to complete by December 2025. Pray for the fishponds project in partnership with CBM. Pray for protection from flood waters and for good fish yields to provide scholarships for students in need.
- It is the time for mid-year reports and evaluations of projects in Thailand and Myanmar. Pray that the process will go smoothly, provide helpful insights, and result in positive reviews of the project activities. May it also prepare the Asia team and partners well for the second half of the project year.
Europe
- Pray for the missionaries who work with Chinese youth growing up in Germany. There is another meeting this month in Marburg, and we desire God’s guidance and wisdom in how we can accompany these teenagers and young adults into the future. How can we help them grow into mature leaders who will lead this ministry in the future? And how can we support this “second Chinese generation”, which is spread across Germany, to build the groundworks for them and future generations to come to know God personally?
North America
- Pray for a growing sense of unity and solidarity among churches in Central Canada, as we work together towards our shared mission.
MENA
- Please pray for our agricultural livelihood programs in Lebanon amid water shortages and other climate change-related challenges.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for the logistics and organization of the LALE (Latin America Leadership Exchange) meeting with our Partners in Latin America.
Africa
- Please pray for the church in Rwanda as they work to meet the requirements of a new government law regulating faith-based organizations. This law includes:
- A requirement for pastors to have university degrees
- Strict standards for church buildings
- A mandatory re-registration process
- A requirement for churches to run socio-economic programs in their communities
In July 2024, nearly 9,800 churches were closed. They have until March 2026 to comply with the new rules, but many lack the financial and practical resources to meet these demands. Even after compliance, there is no guarantee they will be allowed to reopen.
Pray for wisdom, provision, and perseverance for church leaders and congregations during this challenging time.
Asia
- Pray for a successful and meaningful visit from CBM staff Rev. Adrian Gardner and Dr. Suraj Komaravalli to the Philippines for the renewal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Canadian Philippines Ministries and Kabuganaan Philippines Ministries. They will be meeting church leaders, speaking to city churches, and visiting existing projects. May they have safe travels and a blessed time of fellowship.
- Our Partner, the Harvest team, will have a family retreat in Southeast Asia from July 21-25. There will be about 22 families coming together for fellowship. These families serve in different cities throughout the region. Please pray that they can build a strong, supportive relationship with one another, so that they will not feel lonely serving by themselves.

MENA
- Please pray for the ability to discern the needs of the Church in the region and the ability to meet those needs.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pastors and church leaders in Bolivia are feeling increasingly stressed by political tensions and blockades leading up to elections in August and financial concerns as the economy struggles because of internal and external factors. This leads to uncertainty in ministry planning, and it’s hard to plan events when you don’t know if transportation will be available or even possible. Pray for faith, hope and love to prevail as leaders make decisions.
Africa
- Pray for safety and good health for the Africa team as they travel in different communities.
Asia
- Pray for the Summer ministry in Kazakhstan through the Almaty Bible Institute (ABI). Pray for the students, teachers, and workers who are involved in evangelistic events such as camps, conferences and workshops, reaching surrounding area nonbelievers.
- Pray for the renovation work of the Administrative Building and Dining Hall at ABI. Pray for the necessary finances and workers.
- Eight Students have registered for the summer Doctoral colloquium. Six of them are ABI teachers. Pray for support, good health and necessary wisdom and knowledge for them to pursue their doctoral studies so that they could continue to serve through ABI and the local churches.
