Europe
  • Please pray for the upcoming evangelistic events in Marburg in May, including an Alpha course and a German Bible reading group. Ask God to reveal Himself to participants through these times of learning, Scripture, and fellowship.
  • Praise God for the 260 Chinese-speaking and 130 German-speaking participants who joined the German-Wild Chinese Christian Discipleship Camp. Pray that the seeds sown during this gathering will take root and that God will continue to move in hearts long after the event.
North America
  • Pray for SENT participants travelling to Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Kenya and Greece this month.  Pray that there would be mutual learning and encouragement, and for good health and safe travels.
MENA
  • Please pray for lasting impact from the leadership development conference held at the end of April by the Egyptian Baptist Convention. Pray that pastors and key church leaders who attended will continue to grow in living authentic lives—personally, within their families, and in their ministries—and that the Holy Spirit’s work during the gathering will bear ongoing fruit.
Latin America and Caribbean
  • Please pray for the SENT teams serving in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic during the first week of May. Ask God to bless their time as they support local partners through practical service, relationship-building, and mutual learning. Pray for meaningful cultural exchange, spiritual growth, and encouragement for both the teams and the communities they visit.
Africa
  • Please pray for the church in Rwanda as it works to adapt its structures and priorities to meet the requirements of new government regulations. This is a serious matter, as churches that were closed in July 2024 have until March 2026 to comply. Until then, they remain shut—and even then, there is no guarantee they will be allowed to reopen, as some of the conditions are especially difficult to meet. Pray for wisdom, provision, and perseverance for church leaders during this challenging time.
Asia
  • Please continue to pray for earthquake relief efforts in Myanmar. Our partners have been actively involved in supporting families affected by the crisis. As the rainy season begins in May, it may bring additional challenges, especially in terms of accessibility and health risks.
Europe
  • Two new believers were baptized – praise the Lord for His saving grace! Pray that their faith will be firmly rooted and that they will grow as strong and joyful witnesses for Christ.
North America

Please pray for the upcoming Assembly of the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada, taking place May 22–24, 2025.

  • Pray for unity, grace, and patience during the business meetings, as several important issues will be discussed.
  • Pray that the worship sessions and keynote speakers will create space for people to deeply connect with God and clearly hear His voice.
  • Pray for meaningful times of fellowship—that attendees would be encouraged, build strong connections, and experience a deep sense of community.
MENA
  • Please pray that the Lord would open doors for opportunities to strengthen the church ministry throughout the MENA region.
Latin America and Caribbean
  • Please pray for Tim, Kallie, and Malena Hutton as they prepare for their Home Assignment in Canada this May. Before returning, they will visit partners in Cuba and the Dominican Republic to build relationships and gain deeper insight into the local ministries. Pray for safe travels, meaningful connections, and fresh perspective as they journey.
Africa
  • Please continue to pray for peace and stability in the region, especially in the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan. These countries face ongoing challenges due to conflict, political instability, and humanitarian crises. Pray for an end to violence, for wise and just leadership, and for protection of vulnerable communities. Ask God to strengthen local churches and partners as they serve those affected—offering hope, care, and the message of reconciliation.
Asia
  • We thank God that the Integral Mission Workshops were successfully conducted in Yangon, Myanmar,  with positive feedback from local pastors and church leaders. Please pray for the upcoming Integral Mission Workshops in Thailand this May. Pray that these workshops will be a blessing to our partners and local pastors.
  • Please pray for the ongoing construction of a café in India that will serve as a training and employment space for survivors of human trafficking. The café will offer barista skills training and create job opportunities, empowering individuals as they rebuild their lives. Pray for smooth progress, sufficient resources, and lasting impact through this initiative.

  • Pray for divine wisdom, provision, and guidance to effectively empower and support the Church in fulfilling its mission in this part of the world.
Latin America and Caribbean
  • Praise God for the fruitful visit of Fabiola Ramirez to Bolivia during the first week of May. She had the opportunity to connect with CBM’s local partners, engaging in meaningful meetings focused on strengthening relationships, understanding current challenges, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. We are grateful for the insightful conversations, mutual encouragement, and discernment that were shared, helping to further support transformative ministry in the region. Please continue to pray for the ongoing work and partnerships in Bolivia, that God’s guidance and provision will lead to continued growth and impact.
Africa
  • Please join us in praying for the leadership of our partner churches in Africa. Lift up the pastors, elders, and leaders who are faithfully serving their communities, guiding them through both challenges and triumphs. Pray for wisdom, strength, and discernment as they navigate the needs of their congregations and the broader community, especially during times of hardship or uncertainty.
Asia
  • Please pray for the students of TBTI as they prepare for the new semester this month. We are also expecting new students to join the program. Pray for their smooth transition and that they may grow in faith and knowledge.
  • Please pray for Miqlat Ministries, which serves victims of human trafficking in India. Pray for the women who recently attended the Discipleship camp, that they will continue to grow in their walk with God. Lift up a woman in the outreach program who has stopped consuming alcohol since joining the camp, and is encouraging her husband to do the same, despite his struggles with withdrawal and a recent mild stroke. Pray for healing and strength for both of them, as well as their one-year-old son. Pray also for the son of a woman who runs a booze joint, as he prepares to attend Bible School to pursue a Bachelor’s in Theology, and for the mother as she explores new livelihood opportunities. Remember two women undergoing medical treatment, asking for healing and recovery. Finally, pray for the leadership team of Miqlat, that they would be given wisdom, strength, courage, creativity, and the right connections to further their work.
Europe
  • Fellowships from Göttingen, Kassel, and Marburg will come together for a joint retreat, with support from the Markham Chinese Baptist Church short-term mission team (serving through June 16). Pray for a rich time of spiritual renewal, deep fellowship, and smooth preparations in the weeks leading up to the camp.
  • Praise God for the successful completion of the Alpha course in Göttingen with the Students & Young Professionals Ministry. 18-22 people attended each week, and over half of them were seekers. We are grateful for the four individuals who came to faith! The ministry has now resumed its regular schedule, including three Bible studies and one outreach event each month. Please pray for continued spiritual growth among these young believers and for the wisdom and guidance needed as we disciple and support them in their faith journey.
North America
  • Pray for churches in Central Canada as they prepare for VBS camps this summer. May it be an opportunity for them to share the Love of Jesus with the kids who attend.
MENA
  • Please pray for women in Lebanon who are increasingly vulnerable to gender-based violence (GBV) and exploitation due to displacement and economic crisis. And please pray for the local churches that are seeking to support such women with counselling, GBV awareness building, and education.
Latin America and Caribbean
  • Pray for the follow-up meetings Bill Dyck will hold with all the people who attended the Leadership Congress in Colombia in April.
Africa
  • Pray for safety and good health for the Africa team as they travel in different communities.
