This project will train 40 young peace ambassadors in 19 districts of DRC IDP (refugee) camps. Peace ambassadors are trained in a gospel-centred approach to peacemaking and trauma healing that seeks to invite other youth into community. CBCA will work with youth and leaders in their churches to equip these peace ambassadors and then walk alongside them as they in-turn equip their peers in the different IDP districts. This project will involve a learning trip to Kampala, Uganda where they will engage with other youth and learn from CBM’s Gato Munyamasako. By the end of this project 160 youth will be have been trained as peace ambassadors and two youth peace networks will have been established.
