The main goal of the projects is to participate in the mission of God by involving in the real-life situation of the widows in Mokochung District, Nagaland, India. Widows will recieve business and marketing skills training and a small loan to start up a business. As the widows are able to repay their loans the money will then be used to support more widows in the area. CBM’s support will help 30 widows each year. The intention is to transform their lives and families to experience the love of Christ and help them to live a fuller life. The expected result is widows will stand on their own feet, live a dignified life in society; children go to school and excel in life. The project is overseen by Alempang Baptist Church and some of the widows are from this local church. Other widows are from other local churches in the district. The local churches provide space for the training and offer their spiritual and emotional support to the widows as well as being customers at the businesses started by the widows.
