Hector’s Hero – Lesson 3

About

Hector’s Hero

In this “Kids Care What’s for Dinner?” lesson we learn that there are many different reasons why people go hungry, but sometimes it is because we do not show our love of one another and of God’s creation. When we love one another, we want to make sure that we share with each other, that we protect each other, and that we all work together to take care of God’s gifts to us. If we see someone or know that someone does not have enough food to eat, we can love them by giving them food to make sure that they are not hungry. God has a heart for the hungry and loves them very much, so let’s follow his example and learn to love hungry people too.

THIS LESSON IS PART OF THE KIDS CARE SERIES

What’s For Dinner?

As we study the Bible together, we will see what God has to say about the importance of food as a gift, and sharing this gift with one another. We will learn about the impact, scope, and causes of hunger, and how we can fight for food security together as the body of Christ.

We will meet other kids from India, Bolivia, Kenya, and Rwanda and hear them share incredible stories of their lives changed through gaining food security with the help of CBM’s projects all over the world. Also, we will learn about the Christian concepts of gratitude, compassion, love, generosity, hospitality and community.

Children will be challenged to understand God’s desire for all people to be food secure, and how they can be a part of making a difference by taking action!
