Jean-Marie and Hortense Atitso

Global Staff, Togo

Jean-Marie and Hortense Atitso have recently been appointed as Global Staff in Togo and West Africa, serving alongside our partners Convention Baptiste du Togo (CBT).

They bring extensive experience in ministry and education, as well as passion for integral mission and leadership training. Jean-Marie will support CBT in the areas of mission and evangelism, pastoral training, and leadership development. Hortense will work closely with CBT’s Women’s Department in ministry planning, training, and the development of community-based initiative.

Jean-Marie holds a Masters of Theology from McMaster Divinity College and is a doctoral candidate in practical theology at Laval University (Université Laval). With 20 years of experience in pastoral ministry, he works to help believers grow spiritually, empower them to develop their gifts, and lead them to actively live out the mission of spreading the gospel.

Hortense has served in a wide range of roles over 20 years, teaching and supporting early childhood education, leading teams, and strengthening organizations. Her experience and education have enabled her to effectively serve children and families, as well as support relationships within communities.

Jean-Marie enjoys cooking and discovering cozy cafés where good food and meaningful conversations come together. Hortense cherishes reading and traveling. They are proud parents of three children: Kevin, Donald, and Aronell.
