Where Most Needed
2025
Sometimes the most faithful response is also the most flexible one. Gifts to Where Most Needed equip CBM to act quickly when urgent needs arise, and to step faithfully into new ministry opportunities our partners face around the world.
Conflict, climate pressures, and economic shifts can change situations overnight. Where Most Needed giving allows our global team to respond without delay-supporting local churches as they serve their communities.

More than a Transaction
Across LATIN AMERICA: church-led initiatives are helping families rebuild their income and hope. Patty Nacho explains how responsive support is giving vulnerable households a second chance.
“In Guatemala, a community-based project helped families increase their income by raising and selling piglets. Of the 30 participants, five lost their piglets before they could be sold. At a time when support was most needed, our partner chose to invest its own funds to replace the animals, giving those families a second chance.
Today, many have already sold their piglets and purchased more. Some are even exploring creative ways to use byproducts from pig farming to strengthen their income. This is the kind of practical, hope-filled ministry made possible through gifts to Where Most Needed.”

Across AFRICA: local leaders are equipping the next generation to be voices of peace in their own communities. André Sibomana, CBM’s Regional Team Leader for Africa, tells how young people in conflict-affected regions are stepping forward with courage because of support like yours.
“Youth leaders from Rwanda, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of Congo recently joined young people in South Sudan to learn about peace through CBM’s training led by my colleague Rev. Gato. One leader from the DRC invited this training back home, and now a group of young trainers, called catalysts for peace, are organizing events across North Kivu. Their voices for reconciliation are rising in a region marked by conflict. This kind of opportunity could only be supported because of giving to Where Most Needed.”

In Asia: the church often becomes a place of hope for children and families facing hardship. Suraj Komaravalli, CBM’s Regional Team Leader for Asia, shares how your support helped provide safe meals and education for young girls in Odisha, India.
“In Odisha, India, fifty school-age girls from poor families are able to continue their education through the care of their local church, the Kui Baptist Association. For years, their meals were prepared in a temporary hut without water, creating real health risks. When this urgent need became clear, CBM was able to respond quickly, directing support toward a safe and hygienic kitchen so these girls could be nourished and cared for as they study. That kind of responsiveness is only possible because of giving to Where Most Needed.”
