Laura Muema serves as the Program and SENT Coordinator for CBM in Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She works with our church partners helping to monitor and evaluate projects and host Canadian SENT teams in the field.
She serves alongside the Africa team in the areas of family ministries, social support for vulnerable children, gender equity, and empowering women.
Laura holds a graduate diploma in Community Development and Social Work and is currently pursuing a post-graduate diploma in Sociology and Social Work. She has also completed certificate courses in gender and human rights, gender-based violence, entrepreneurship and business creation, community leadership training and the formation and functions of self-help groups.
She and her husband, Kennedy Mumanyi, have three daughters. Laura enjoys travelling and spending time with her family. Her favorite dishes include pilau and biryani.

- Prayer for peace and protection for all partners and Global Staff facing natural disasters and unrest in their areas of work.
- Prayer for our partners and citizens in DR Congo – CBCA and CEBCE – during conflict and war, having to rehabilitate the displaced, the hungry, and victims of violence.
- Let us also remember to pray for our FEBAC (South Sudan brothers and Sisters) during this time of political instability and possible threat of war.
- Pray for SENT teams and all those interested and willing to participate in the SENT program; for God’s guidance, provision and protection.
