In 2012, Lewis and Felain Lam were appointed as CBM Strategic Associates in Göttingen, Germany. They work with a local organization, Forum für Mission unter Chinesen in Deutschland (FMCD). Together with the Europe Team, they minister to the Chinese students studying in German universities, introducing the gospel message to these future professionals, many of whom return home after graduation.
Lewis and Felain both have Masters of Divinity degrees from Tyndale. Felain also has a Clinical Membership in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
They enjoy hiking and reading in their spare time, and they have a particular fondness for fresh German bread.
Prayer Requests
- Forming a New Core Ministry Team
We are praying for the development of a new core team of eight leaders who will grow together in faith and leadership to equip the church.
Pray for unity, clarity in discerning God’s will, and hearts that remain humble, teachable, and rooted in Christ. - Student Meditation Groups
We are halfway through our 8‑month campus meditation journey, where students meet biweekly for silence, Scripture reflection, group spiritual direction, and prayer.
Pray that participants deepen their longing for God, grow through communal formation, and cultivate a healthy rhythm between intimacy with God (“being”) and service (“doing”). - “Quiet Time 100” Bible Reading Program
A two-year Scripture reading journey began in last September, with 33 participants across Germany (20 from Göttingen). Lewis serves as one of the teachers and oversees two groups.
Pray for Lewis’s teaching and care, and for participants to develop a deep hunger for God’s Word. Ask for wisdom and grace for all group leaders.
