Greetings from the Golden Triangle of Northern Thailand. I hope this message finds you well. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

Ministry/Project Update

The Thailand Bethel Theological Institute (TBTI) held its graduation ceremony on March 17, 2023. Due to the absence of a ceremony in the past two years, the number of graduates was more than usual with 69 graduates and two interns attending. The new semester will begin in mid-May.

We helped TBTI add to its library collection to provide students and teachers with more reading references. This quarter, we assisted two local churches with preaching as well as supporting part of the pastors’ salaries as we encourage their growth in faith and practice. The pastors and churches were heartened by the support of CBM. Two successful workshops for pastor training were also held, benefiting many local pastors.

The Lahu village development project is progressing well, and since the Thai-Myanmar border has reopened, we have visited our partner in person and participated in their leaders training workshop. Twenty leaders were trained, strengthening their ministries, and the project also includes a farming program to support the development of Lahu villages.

Four new beneficiaries from the Mong Tribe located in Myanmar were added to the underprivileged children’s project. Their families are in a conflict zone and sought help from our mission partner, the Chen Guang student center in Thailand. The children are now living safely in Thailand and have access to education.

The first quarter of the Operation Dawn project has yielded fruitful results. With the help of CBM, a four-year discipleship training curriculum has been developed, and CBM national field staff participated in teaching at the Operation Dawn discipleship training center. The trainees are recovered drug addicts who completed the rehabilitation process of Operation Dawn Rehabilitation center. The project aims to strengthen their faith and lead them towards a healthy life.

Family Update

As you may know, April is the hottest month of the year in Thailand and marks the country’s water festival. After a challenging period of pandemic restrictions, people are eagerly anticipating this celebration. However, we have also been dealing with severe smog caused by mountain burning in the surrounding areas.

Since it is summer holidays for students in Thailand, my family and I went on a trip down south. It was truly an amazing experience. We enjoyed the beauty of nature and breathed some fresh air. We also spent quality time together.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for our local mission partners to have wisdom and strength in implementing the projects.
  • Conrad and I are travelling to Myanmar in May to visit partners and local pastors, please pray for our trip to be smooth and fruitful.
  • Please pray for my teaching ministry at TBTI and the Operation Dawn discipleship training center.
  • Please pray for my family to be in good health.

I am grateful for your continued support and prayers, which have been a source of strength for me despite the challenges faced in my ministries in the Golden Triangle region. May God bless and guide you in all aspects of your life as well.
