More from CP

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year.

Exposure Visit

An exposure (joint learning) visit was organized for partners from 25-28 October 2022. Partners from SBCMS (Soura Baptist Christian Mandalli Sammiloni), UBCA (Uktal Baptist Churches Association), ECM (Elim’s Compassion Ministries) and ABC (Alempang Baptist church) participated and witnessed the programs run by SBCMS and UBCA. The exposure trip gave an opportunity to experience new venues with the partners. The participants got to know each other and interacted with the programs they are running and exchanged ideas for the betterment of the programs.

Emergency Relief Program-SBCMS

The majority of churches and villages of SBCMS are situated in the Gajapati District on the Southern part of Odisha. This area is prone to cyclones. Every year several cyclones (small or big) hit this area. For the second time this year a cyclone ruined several roads, damaged cashew plants (field) villages and paddy fields with several landslides causing the land surface to change. A few houses were completely washed out and some houses were damaged. I have visited the cyclone affected areas and we have provided financial assistance to 10 households to purchase construction materials in B. Kolakote and Jangritun in the Tumkur areas.

Financial assistance has been given to 332 families for clearing the paddy fields which were filled with sand, mud, rocks, and wood due to landslides in Janiguda area, Pushpang area, Rangomunda area and Libriguda areas.

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of SBCMS on 15 December 2022:

I participated in the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of SBCMS on 15 December 2022 and conveyed my greetings and hoisted the flag on the occasion. Nearly 500 people, including pastors, deacons and members from 32 areas attended the celebrations and praised God for His bountiful mercies.
